EXIOBASE: Database Development, Current Applications, and Future Directions – Imperial Event
The Imperial Network of Excellence in Sustainability through Life Cycle Approaches will host Konstantin Stadler, who will deliver a talk on EXIOBASE.
EXIOBASE provides a global environmentally-extended multi-regional input-output (EE-MRIO) database with high suitability for environmental analysis, originally designed to address sustainability questions for the EU and its main trading partners as well as other major global economies. Beyond its extensive use in sustainability research, it also became the recommended source by the GHG Protocol for spend-based scope 1, 2, and 3 emission factors and is increasingly utilized for biodiversity impact assessments and ecosystem analysis in environmental research.
