Developing methods and tools for supporting eco-design of new products – Call for Papers

Discover Sustainability has opened submissions for the collection “Developing methods and tools for supporting eco-design of new products”.

The collection investigates how prospective Life Cycle Assessment and other support tools can be integrated into the early stages of product and technology development. Relevant topics include prospective LCA, technological forecasting, machine learning, patent analysis, generative artificial intelligence, computer-aided design and systematic innovation methods.

The aim is to develop more integrated and structured approaches to eco-design, particularly when environmental data are limited or uncertain.

The submission deadline is September 30, 2026.
