RoadLCA 2026 – 30/09-02/10/2026, Palermo

The Call for Papers is open for RoadLCA 2026.

RoadLCA 2026 – 7th International Symposium on Pavement and Bridge Life Cycle Assessment will be held in Palermo (Italy), 30 September–2 October 2026, hosted by the University of Palermo (SMARTI Lab, Department of Engineering, and the Centre for Sustainability and Ecological Transition). 

The symposium is a global forum on life cycle thinking for transport infrastructure, focusing on pavements and bridges (and embracing innovations also in railways and airports), with a strong emphasis on sustainability, resilience, and decarbonisation across design, materials, construction, use, and end-of-life. 

Who should submit?

Researchers, engineers, road authorities, industry professionals, policymakers, and early-career professionals working on LCA and sustainability of transport infrastructure. 

Key dates:

Abstract (250 words) – last call deadline: 19 January 2026

Full paper (6–10 pages): 2 March 2026

Revised full paper (6–10 pages): 27 April 2026

Submission & publication

Submissions are managed via EasyChair. The symposium language is English, and the conference proceedings are planned to be published (indexed) with Springer.
