Journal of Industrial Ecology – Call for Papers – Transitions from LCA to LCSA

The Journal of Industrial Ecology has opened a Call for Papers for a Special Issue titled “Transitions from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) – Definitions, Implementations and Applications”.

The Special Issue aims to advance the transdisciplinary foundations of Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment by connecting environmental LCA with life-cycle costing, social assessment, techno-economic analysis, integrated assessment and decision science. Contributions are invited on methodological developments, theoretical frameworks, data and model integration, uncertainty treatment, stakeholder-based approaches and applied research able to provide new insights for the LCSA community.

The submission deadline is October 15, 2026.
