Public consultation: LCA options for sustainable governance assessed

This document is an outcome of the activities that have been undertaken within the project “CALCAS – Co-ordination Action for Innovation in Life-Cycle Analysis for Sustainability”.

Its Work Package 4 deals with the topic of “Governance and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA)” and is chaired by the Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) and the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW).

One milestone in the work schedule of WP4 has been the organisation of an open workshop entitled “Governance and Life Cycle Analysis. Opportunities for going beyond ISO-LCA” which took place in Brussels in September 2007 (see http://web.fu-berlin.de/ffu/calcas/).

Within the following months, the project team analysed different material and sources and is pleased to deliver this paper for a public consultation process involving a broad auditorium of researchers, stakeholders and interested parties to consider and comment.
