Call for papers LCA FOOD 2012
Abstract deadline: 10 February 2012.
The 8th international conference on Life Cycle Assessment in the Agri-Food Sector, “LCA Food 2012” will be held from 2-4 October 2012 in the picturesque seaside town of Saint Malo, France. The conference will be hosted by INRA, the French National Institute for Agricultural Research.

Particular focus will be placed on the following topics:
Methods:- Impact assessment, especially regarding biodiversity, land use, soil quality, water use, toxicity, and spatial differentiation
- System definition, allocation, functional units, attributional and consequential LCA
- Quantification and reduction of uncertainty
- Life Cycle Sustainability Analysis (inclusion of social/economic aspects)
- Ecodesign of agricultural and food systems
Applications:
- Annual and perennial crops, terrestrial and aquatic animal production
- Eco-labeling, communication, consumer behavior
- Food consumption patterns and diets
- Trade-offs between food quality and impacts
- Assessing farming systems at the territory/regional scale
Timetable:
10 February 2012 - Deadline for submission of abstracts
29 May 2012 - Deadline for submission of full papers
June 2012 - Publication of conference program
1 October 2012 - Welcome reception and registration
2 October 2012 - Conference begins
4 October 2012 - Conference ends
