The 14th CIRP International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering (LCE2007)

Since 1994, the CIRP International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering has continued to provide a valuable and prominent forum for discussing basic research, applications, and current practices in the field of life cycle engineering. Many of the environmental problems that the world faces, however, have unfortunately not been solved. In order to realize a sustainable society, it is now clear that manufacturing businesses must accelerate the implementation of concepts and technologies proposed in the field of life cycle
engineering.

The 14th conference will take place at Waseda University in Tokyo from June 11th to 13th, 2007. This will be the second time to hold the event in Japan since 2000. It will be hosted by the life cycle engineering research group of the Japan Society of Precision Engineering.
We hope that the conference can provide a forum for everyone who wishes to contribute to solve this serious problem to exchange novel ideas to accelerate such implementation.
