Sustainability is now a key strategy and value driver for Europe's manufacturers. With volatile energy costs and politicians seeking to encourage sustainable production and consumption, manufacturers know that efficient and sustainable production makes great business sense.
The Sustainable Manufacturing Summit is the networking event for sustainability professionals who want to create, share and improve their environmental and energy strategies. The updated agenda is now available. The speaker line-up includes:
- Alain Denielle, Corporate EHS Group Director, STMicroelectronics
- Klaus Hieronymi, Chairman of the Environmental Board, EMEA, Hewlett Packard
- Steve Hope, General Manager, Plant Engineering Division, Toyota Motor Europe
- Chris Dutilh, Environment Manager, Unilever
- Ulrike Ebert, CR Director – Environment, Coca-Cola EU Group
- Peter Saling, Head of Eco-efficiency Analysis Group, BASF
- Johanna Öster, Sustainability Manager, Hydro Aluminium
- John Wild, CSR Director, Morphy Richards

- Henk Van Houtum, Managing Director, Van Houtum Papier
- Kentaro Niwano, Senior Environment Officer, Canon Europe

The event coincides with the annual EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) awards and a meeting of Europe's senior sustainability civil servants and provides a number of occasions to meet with peers, politicians and regulators. All conference attendees will be invited to the 2008 EMAS awards and a specially arranged reception with Europe's sustainability civil servants.
