DF 35: Assessment of Water Use within LCA
Freshwater in good quality and sufficient availability is a key resource, yet its use is often not reflected adequately in LCA.
The DF 35 will address methodological issues and case studies dealing with the assessment of water use in LCA.
Next to an overview on the state-of-the-art, the forum will address the modeling of water use in life cycle inventory analysis and discuss approaches for modeling the impact-pathways and mechanisms of water extraction and usage.
The goal is to strengthen the link between LCI and LCIA in respect to water resources and improve the understanding of water resources’ impact assessment.
