2nd EuCheMS Chemistry Congress

It is a very important event for all the European societies of chemistry and a large participation of members is expected, coming from universities, industries, and both public and private institutions for research and analysis. At the first conference in Budapest in August 2006 there were more than 2500 participants.

The call for abstracts is open. Abstracts may be submitted for oral communications and poster sessions, for evaluation by the conveners of the 18 scientific symposia under the themes of:

• Advances in Synthesis,
• Advances in Understanding,
• Chemistry and Life Sciences,
• Energy and Industry,
• Environment,
• Materials and Devices.

The deadline for abstract submission is 25 April. 

The Congress will be organised in common sessions, with plenary lectures given by outstanding scientists, and parallel sessions, focusing on important areas of chemistry. The programme of these parallel symposia will include keynote lectures and invited lectures, as well as oral and poster communications selected on the basis of abstract submission.

A "Greenhouse gas" session will be held on the 17th September 2008.  Another environmental sessions on Water pollutants will be held from September 19 to 20, 2008.
