16th SETAC Europe LCA Case Studies Symposium

The 16th SETAC Europe LCA Case Studies Symposium is organised in Poznan (Poland) by the Poznan University of Technology in collaboration with SETAC Europe. The event is planned as a two-day’s meeting to be held 1-2 February 2010. More information about the venue is coming soon.   

The scope and main objective of the symposium is to highlight the research results of studies coming also from Central and Eastern Europe countries. We would like to make it possible to present work within a scope of applications concerning complexity, subject matter and region of origin.

Themes and topics

Sessions will cover the following topics within the framework of "From simplified LCA to advanced LCA":

1.     Policy and Governance

2.     Resources – main topis will be devoted to:
    - waste management;
    - resource extraction/mining inventories;
    - LCA in agriculture sector (i.e. biofuels) and food production, etc.

3.     Simplified approaches – covering topics like: 
    - ecodesign approaches in conjunction with LCA;  
    - ecolabelling;   
    - sectoral approaches, etc.

 Please note that English will be the official language of the meeting.
